Navigating Small Talk

A guidebook to help introverts steer mundane chit-chat to meaningful conversations

Trying to navigate social situations can feel exhausting (and boring!) to most introverts because most conversations get caught in the dreaded small talk trap.

Knowing how to use your introverted conversation and listening skills to expertly guide things out of small talk and into more meaningful conversations is a must!

In this guided workbook, I'll help you hone your communication skills, provide easily actionable tips, and provide a few prompts to help you confidently prep for your next social or networking event!

Small talk is, in some ways, a necessary part of starting a conversation...

But, it doesn't have to be a trap where you get stuck in boring chit-chat for the duration of an event!

When it comes to talking with strangers, most people don't immediately start with deep, probing questions, and that's fine! What's important is to view small talk as the key that opens the door to more meaningful discussions.

When you learn how to steer conversations beyond small talk, you won't have to stay in the shallow end for very long. This all comes down to being strategic, playful, and open in your approach to talking with others.

MAGDA DUNN

A LITTLE ABOUT ME...

As a hardcore (and PROUD!) introvert, I spent YEARS avoiding networking events, dreading parties, and making excuses to skip those awful get-to-know-you happy hours.

I blamed my introversion for my inability to confidently "work the room" and feel at ease because my mind would go blank, and I'd struggle to know the "right" thing to talk about.

But, as I deepened my understanding of what introversion actually means, I begin exploring new ways to navigate my life that worked for me, not against me.

As my confidence grew, I discovered that I had no problem talking with others once I got past the small talk stage!

Because here's the thing: introverts are actually quite skilled at having conversations when they're deeper and more meaningful! We're excellent at listening to others, and because we pay attention to details, we're quite talented at asking questions that go beyond idle chit-chat.

What I'm sharing in this workbook is everything I've learned as I've learned to successfully and confidently network and socialize with others in my own introvert-friendly style!

And, since I KNOW small talk is something most introverts struggle with, I wanted to create something simple, actionable, and impactful to help you transform your relationship with connecting with others!

Whether it's networking to grow your biz, socializing to meet new friends, dating, or a summer of endless weddings, The Art of Navigating Small Talk is your guidebook to showing up in an entirely new way!

If you're ready to finally look forward to meeting and connecting with new people, then grab the workbook and explore a new level of confidence and ease!
